This piece by Herve di Rosa was painted for an exhibition at the Wolf Schulz Gallery in San Francisco. The exhibition was for Hervé and his brother, Buddy di Rosa. The show was titled 'The di Rosa Brothers" and took place in the late 1980’s. As the Wolf Schulz Gallery was the primary gallery representing the brothers in the United States at the time, the artists flew out to San Francisco for the opening reception.

During this time, Robert Mc Donald (co-owner of the Bond Latin Gallery) was working for the Wolf Schulz Gallery and befriended the di Rosa brothers as well as other artists from the Figuration Libre movement. Most of the pieces we have by Hervé di Rosa come from this period.
