Bond Latin Gallery is pleased to announce an upcoming solo exhibition for contemporary artist Fernando Reyes.  Taking place in the SOMA district of San Francisco at Bond Latin Gallery, the exhibition will consist of 8 mixed media works, incorporating collage, painting, and printmaking.

Although Fernando began his career as a figurative painter, he began exploring abstract, mixed media works inspired by a solo exhibition he viewed at the New York MoMA showcasing ‘cut-outs’ by Henri Matisse . The upcoming show in San Francisco will focus on these, recent abstract works.

Fernando Reyes was born in Fresno, California and before pursuing a career in art he worked in the banking industry for 17 years in San Francisco. He attended the Art Institute of Chicago in the 1990’s, graduating with a BFA in 1997.

Work by Fernando Reyes has been showcased in galleries and art fairs across the United States and has been included in numerous private and public collections including: Stanford University Medical Center, Alameda County Arts Collection, and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. In 2018 the Mexican Museum in San Francisco held a solo exhibition for the artist.
